The most beautiful Roman architecture can be found in the expansive summer residence of Emperor Hadrian (2nd century). Set amid olive trees, cypress trees, rolling hills and vistas, there is the Maritime Theater, libraries, thermal baths, geometric gardens with fountains, statues and ponds, temples, underground galleries, icehouses, and much more. It appeals enormously to the imagination, especially when we discover its sacred geometry: connection with terrestrial and celestial energy lines in antiquity.
